Information for presenters

Oral presentation

The duration of each talk (in the oral sessions) is 25 mins, with 20 mins for the presentation and 5 mins for Q&A. A computer will be available on the podium for presenters. If audios or videos are to be played during the presentation, the presenter is recommended to test the audio/video playing functions before the oral session.

Poster presentation

The poster board is 185cm (H) and 85cm (W). The recommended poster size is A0 portrait. Importantly, please make sure that the width of your poster is shorter than 85cm.

Online Poster presentation

The online poster presentation will be conducted via Zoom. The presenter is recommended to use a computer with a webcam and a microphone. The presenter is also recommended to use a headset to avoid echo. The presenter is recommended to test the audio/video playing functions before the online poster session.

The duration of each talk (in the online poster sessions) is 15 mins, with 12 mins for the presentation and 3 mins for Q&A. The presenter is recommended to share the screen during the presentation and Q&A.

Social program

The social dinner is at the Nan Lian Garden Vegetarian Restaurant on Monday, 4 December at 7.30 pm. The Nan Lian Vegetarian Restaurant, located in the Nan Lian Garden in Hong Kong, follows certain rules and guidelines to ensure a pleasant dining experience for all visitors. Here are the rules at Nan Lian Vegetarian Restaurant:

  • Eating Restrictions: Visitors are not allowed to eat outside designated areas within the restaurant . This rule is in place to maintain cleanliness and preserve the environment.
  • Opening Hours: The restaurant operates during the same hours as the Nan Lian Garden, which is from 7am to 9pm daily.
  • Dress Code: There is no specific dress code mentioned for the restaurant. However, visitors are generally expected to dress appropriately and respectfully when visiting the garden and its facilities.
  • No Smoking: The Nan Lian Garden, including the restaurant, is a smoke-free area. Smoking is not permitted to protect the valuable trees and timber structures within the garden.
  • Commercial photography and video-shooting are not allowed in the Garden: Nan Lian Garden is a classical garden designed for quiet contemplation. To help preserve the spirit and characteristic of the Garden’s original design, commercial and/or professional photography, filming are prohibited.
  • No outside food or drink will be allowed: Foods served in Chi Lin Vegetarian do not contain any meat, eggs, or alcohol. Please do not bring your own food or drinks, including birthday cake or wine into the restaurant.
